Internet and Technology
Gary plans to stop the FCC (Federal Communications Commision) from controlling internet content and prices. He believes that the internet should remain market-based with minimal intervention by the government. Also, he thinks that the internet should not be taxed since the internet has gotten so large because of the minimal taxation. He says that all internet speech should bee free and that people should be able to do what they want as long as it is legal. If something is done that is not legal however Gary says that it should be treated as a regular crime.
My opinions on the internt and technology are exactly the same as Gary's. I too don't think the internet should have a tax and that freedom of speech should exist on the internet. I had not even thought about the government's involvement in the internet but now that I have, I realize the importance of a market-based internet. If the internet is market-based, then their will be things such as competition that will benefit people who buy internet goods. Gary's internet policies are somethign that I wish other presidential candidates would adopt.
